I open this blog post with a collage someone did on the web of the various sketches purported to represent EAR or suspects in crimes to which he was considered associated. It gives you an idea of how much is left to interpretation. What did EAR really look like? His face was seen only once in perpetration, in the cutout of his balaclava, from an angle that would make his face look fuller.
As you all know, it is not physical appearance which has driven me to my POIs. It is the clues that point to occupation. Combining both helps, of course. It is a particularly jolting experience when all the factors point to a specific person and then only later a picture of him is obtained and it matches much of what has collectively been reported in the most reliable circumstances.
I just submitted my longest dossier on a POI in my files. It is 13 pages, but pictures and maps take up lots of space in Word, so it is not so daunting to the official investigator. I know attention will be spent on it.
I also know it is frustrating for those who follow my investigation that I can no longer give details in public. But for those who had read my uploaded thesis on RAP, you get an idea of what these dossiers look like. These POIs are alive, and it doesn’t do to get detailed in public, for the innocent or the guilty.
The two previous dossiers inspired a process for DNA. The dossier I just submitted is for my longstanding favorite. Younger age, a physical description, and the reinterpretation of the comfort zones, caused RAP to supplant him and rise to the top of the list.
With his elimination, the two others I have concentrated on have naturally come to the top. They pivot between the spectrum. What is essential is that they had access to used cars and sporting goods and no oversight. Much has happened since then to underscore this POI above all others once again. Yet since much is always left to interpretation in such a cases, only the process of elimination matters now rather than the hypotheses that move an investigator forward. The hypothesis has been mine. It is now for the official investigators to concentrate on elimination. If it comes about that this POI is EAR/ONS, then I think we shall all be surprised, if not stunned, about which sketch truly caught his appearance best.
The process to eliminate a POI takes a while, so I may be tempted in the interim to average between a few of the sketches, those based on the only eyewitness report, and then post a pic. It should be helpful whether I have or have not uncovered him with the latest submissions or not. Within the collage of sketches there is undoubtedly the face of evil so many have sought to unmask.
Remember, doggedly remember, EAR’s face was never seen in action but once from a difficult angle. Only a form was seen– thin, agile, short, masked. There is no certainty about anything else, even about his actual hair color. This, almost a masked effigy, is all that we have had. It is the clues he left while stalking a neighborhood that are far more revealing.

Since 1990 Gian J. Quasar has investigated a broad range of mysterious subjects, from strange disappearances to serial murders, earning in that time the unique distinction of being likened to “the real life Kolchak.” However, he is much more at home with being called The Quester or Q Man. “He’s bloody eccentric, an historian with no qualifications who sticks his nose into affairs and gets results.” He is the author of several books, one of which inspired a Resolution in Congress.
