Those civilians who did the most to identify EAR-ONS are not taking credit, but those behind-the scenes know who they really are, both civilians and in law enforcement. Like Michelle Cruz they devoted themselves to finding him, not publicizing themselves. Sometimes this became a battle for accuracy. They helped. They did not mislead nor obstruct. They became trusted conduits between jurisdictions. They were from EAR-ONS’s point of view the “meddlesome kids” who wouldn’t let him get away with his crimes, and they received the thanks of law enforcement for it.
I post these here not to claim any credit, rather at request. These articles came at a significant moment (early March). They corrected the public’s false impressions about EAR-ONS’s DNA profile, and its inaccurate origins. They reflect the shift that just happened in DNA exploitation, and they bring clarity to how EAR-ONS was identified through civilian DNA databases.
This link exposes the German-English EAR-ONS and its origins in false DNA Markers.
How it was done using the real EAR-ONS DNA. He wasn’t such a loner after all when Sacramento got the line in him. (Ironically, I used graphs pertaining to my cousin’s daughter’s DNA, who is actually, as it turns out, a distant cousin to Michelle Cruz and her sister, Janelle, EAR-ONS’s final victim.)

Since 1990 Gian J. Quasar has investigated a broad range of mysterious subjects, from strange disappearances to serial murders, earning in that time the unique distinction of being likened to “the real life Kolchak.” However, he is much more at home with being called The Quester or Q Man. “He’s bloody eccentric, an historian with no qualifications who sticks his nose into affairs and gets results.” He is the author of several books, one of which inspired a Resolution in Congress.
